Small apps for the everyday, built by the developer next door.

NeighbourDev is one person writing software for the ordinary things — the house you are building, the ten minutes you are waiting. Two are out, more are on the bench. No accounts to make, and your records stay on your phone.

Two with the lights on, one still going up.

Next up

Three more with the lights off

Built in evenings and weekends, one at a time, and named only when they are close enough to keep the promise. Here is everything I am willing to say.

Nearly there

Far enough along that it has a name. Not far enough along that I will say it.

In the workshop

A second game. Whatever you just guessed, it is not that.

Still a sketch

Paper, pencil and one stubborn idea. Ask me again in a while.

Want to know first? Mail me and I will tell you the day it lands.

About

Why "neighbour"

Because that is the scale of it. Not a startup, not a platform — one developer on your street, building the small thing you would have otherwise asked a neighbour about. Apps that are native on the phone, quiet about your data, and finished enough to actually use.

About me

The developer next door

P R Abinayaa

Homemaker · self-taught developer · NeighbourDev

I run a home, and in the hours around it I build apps. No company behind me and no team to hand things to — just a long habit of noticing the small problems that quietly eat a day, and enough stubbornness to learn Swift and Kotlin well enough to fix them.

Working this way is also why nothing here asks you to make an account or trusts a server with your records. I am the only support desk, so the apps have to be the kind I can stand behind.

How I build them

Your data stays yours

No account to create, nothing synced to a server of mine. What you record stays on your device, and you can export it as a file you keep.

Works with no signal

Everything runs on the phone. A basement site visit, a flight, a village with one bar — the app behaves exactly the same.

Native on both phones

I write each one twice — SwiftUI on iPhone, Kotlin on Android — so it feels like it belongs on the phone instead of a website in a box.

Simple pricing

Free to use with a small ad. One optional subscription removes the ads for good — no tiers, no upsell walls in the middle of your work.

You reach me, not a desk

Mail goes to my own inbox and I answer it myself. Requests from people actually using the app are how the next version gets written.

Finished, then shipped

Nothing goes out as an early-access placeholder. Each app is finished and tested before it ships, and updates add to it rather than patch it.
